Ikigai: Making a site map
Finding my purpose and passion
During my site map layout I first researched through various methods of asking myself why this site will be important for me, I created an Ikigain map first to check my inner calling to what I should prioritize in my life currently that can show as a self-reflection and publication of my everyday life (POSIEL)
Both the Ikagia map and the site map structure were made in class with pencil and paper, I then recreated them on Figma for better clarity and understanding of what I am about to dive into – As a future website designer and product designer based on UX principles and keen knowledge of visual designing, keeping up with AI and its emerging tech it’s not only imminent and feels like a requirement; in this field, everything moves fast and irrelevancy is of key insights is what slows progression. Hope we get there faster than our dreams become fiction than reality!
Rationale
After understanding that as a UX designer and a designer with visual prowess I want to serve this site as a place that contains and shows all my research and projects that I made over the last 5 years under SIAT (School of Interactive Arts) not only just projects, I want to also focus on my research papers and passion for emerging technologies.
One of my favourite hobbies is to know and do research about emerging tech and with AI reaching new horizons in tech I believe we are in an age of renaissance, where AI will guide us to new horizons and the only limitation will be our imagination.
–After this reflection, I started using Twitter/(x) more in terms of having a POSIEL in the online media and sharing my ongoing thoughts, I only use Instagram as my professional outlook and creative endeavours that I want the world to ponder on while on platforms like X and Instagram I share what my view and reactions are towards any topic, as I am shy, I don’t like to post things instead believe in putting stories out as most of my followers view them as well as I prefer that it expires after 24hours while also creating a ripple effect to how I want the world to view me as!
